TRANSPORT
Q How will I know when my horse is due to be collected/delivered?
A Our drivers will call you at least 2 hours prior to any collection or delivery of your horse. If you would like an update on your horses progress then you can call in to head office where the operations department will advise you.
Q Can I transport tack with my horse/pony?
A Each of our trucks have lockers underneath them where we are able to transport a small amount of tack for you free of charge. We can take a saddle a bridle and 2x rugs per horse. These must be in a waterproof bag (not a trunk) and labelled clearly. Other tack can be transported with your horse, but you will need to make separate arrangements with the operations department if it exceeds the above amount and there may be a charge. We can also sell whole partition spaces if required to transport additional equipment.
Q Can I travel with my horse?
A No. For both insurance and health & safety reasons you cannot travel with your horse.
Q Are you able to transport pregnant mares, stallions and young foals?
A Yes. We are able to move the partitions on our trucks to allow a little extra space for pregnant mares, ideally we would not like to transport any pregnant mare who has less than 1 month to go. The trucks have full length head boards to ensure the safe transport of stallions. When transporting young foals that do not tie up or mares with foals at foot we can make completely segregated loose boxes on the trucks.
Q How can I pay for the transport?
A We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, or a card payment over the phone. We accept the following cards Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Switch and Visa Electron. There is a 2% charge for using a credit card and a 3% charge for using a foreign or business card. We do not accept cheques. Payment is due before the horse is delivered.
Q Do you need my horses passport?
A Yes!!! We require the original passport for transporting all horses and ponies even if they are just travelling within the UK. Copies are not acceptable.
Q Do I need insurance?
A We do not require you to have insurance for the purpose of transport. However we recommend that you do and may contact our insurers Lycetts Hamilton 01638 676700/

Q What will my horse be fed during transport?
A All of our horses are fed haylage and general purpose pony nuts during transport. We stop to offer water to the horses every 4 hours.
Q Can I prepare feed for my horse?
A Yes. If your horse is on a special diet then we will only feed it the feed you have prepared. Please send this in carrier bags made into each individual feed.
Q What should my horse travel in?
A We require your horse to wear a head collar for transport. It is entirely your choice what you transport your horse in ie. travel boots, bandages and travel blankets. You may also wish to provide a rug if your horse is to be turned out while resting during transit. Please bear in mind that any items you send with your horse must be labelled and are sent entirely at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage and are under no obligation to replace or return equipment.
